Filling instruments are used to place, condense, shape and polish filling material. Here you will find single instruments and sets for composite and amalgam as well as matching matrix accessories for shaping proximal surfaces.
Filling instruments in our range
- Composite instruments: sets with 5, 7 or 8 pieces, some with silicone handles, plus single instruments such as PKT-1, Hylin carver, paddle, duck head and double paddle.
- Pluggers and condensers: Black (serrated), Westcott, Markley and multifunction pluggers.
- Modelling and spatula instruments: Heidemann, Hollenback, Buchs and Sternberg.
- Burnishers: ball burnishers, T-ball and egg burnishers, some titanium-coated.
- Matrix retainers: Tofflemire Universal and Junior as well as Ivory.
What to look for
- Titanium-coated or polished working ends so composite does not stick.
- Working end size matching the cavity.
- Serrated pluggers for amalgam, smooth ones for composite.
