Basic set for a procedure
For a typical minor surgical procedure in a practice or outpatient setting, the basic set consists of a scalpel handle with blades, a surgical and an anatomical forceps, dissecting scissors, two to four artery forceps, a needle holder, suture scissors and a wound retractor. Quality and reprocessing
Our surgical instruments are made of rust-free surgical stainless steel. Models with tungsten carbide inserts (recognisable by their gold handles) stay sharp considerably longer or grip more precisely. All instruments are intended for machine cleaning in a washer-disinfector and steam sterilisation at 134 °C.

What is the difference between surgical and anatomical forceps?
Surgical forceps have small teeth at the tip that grip tissue securely. Anatomical forceps are cross-serrated and gentle on delicate tissue.
Why tungsten carbide?
Tungsten carbide inserts make scissors hold their edge longer and needle holders grip better. They are worthwhile for instruments that are used every day.
