Curettes remove calculus and deposits from tooth and root surfaces and smooth the root in periodontal therapy. Chisels remove undermined enamel. Here you will find Gracey curettes in all patterns, Mini and After Five versions, Lucas curettes for the socket as well as periodontal and enamel chisels.
Gracey curettes: which one for which tooth?

Mini Gracey: working end half as long for narrow, deep pockets and furcations. After Five: shank 3 mm longer for pockets of 5 mm and deeper.
Lucas curettes and chisels
Lucas curettes (figure 84 to 88) are used after extraction to curette the socket and differ in spoon size. Chisels are used to remove undermined enamel and to shape the cavity.
