Use the No. 23 end to check restoration margins and calculus, and the blunt UNC 15 to measure probing depths in 1 mm steps up to 15 mm. The fine graduation suits detailed periodontal charting. Probe with a light force of about 0.2 to 0.25 N.
Applications: Periodontal examination and charting, recall and maintenance, checking filling and crown margins, detecting calculus.
