The double-ended explorer 23/6 combines the No. 23 shepherd's hook and the No. 6 explorer in one instrument. Two explorer designs are available during the examination without changing instruments. For caries assessment on fissures and demineralised surfaces, use light pressure only and do not force the tip into fissures.
Applications: Examination, checking filling and crown margins, detecting calculus, checking after scaling.
